On our family's spring break trip to Palm Island last month we made several new memories. This island has so much to offer that we weren't even able to take advantage of everything. But I'll journal a few things we did partake in…

 shell covered beaches with serene wildlife...

Not only were there thousands of unbroken shells to collect, we spent many hours searching for shark's teeth, of which we found over 400 collectively...

The younger crowd enjoyed burying each other...

And our first day was full of sunshine and beach time...

Thankfully, we got as much sun in as possible--I know I did because I received one of the worst burns of my life, on my back. I didn't know I'd get hooked into the shark's teeth search and once you start you can't stop!!!…it's like you're on an Easter Egg hunt or something. So when the next day brought a FULL day of rain, that was okay. And --not to worry, because this family can play boardgames galore! 

The next day however, glad to get back out to the beach, we went fishing in high wind conditions...

Luckily, there was a less windy pond nearby...

that allowed for our ONLY and meager catch of the day...

Father and son bonding time gave Little Mr. the role of being the "baiter"...

And a great job, he did!

It was observed that the attention spans of some for fishing, 

are not like others...

And so, ​at least there was ideal company...
